RENTALS

Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center offers two state-of-the-art dance studios as well as a spacious lobby and meeting space for use by the community.

Our space is equipped with wifi, convenient parking, bathrooms, changing rooms, a kitchenette, and a range of seating options and setups. Our dance studios offer mirrors, mirror coverings, barres (wall and portable), Harlequin dance flooring, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. Main floor including lobby, temple, and bathrooms is ADA-accessible.

TEMPLE Studio – 50′ by 40’, professional Harlequin Woodspring floor with Harlequin Cascade seamless Marley, full wall of mirrors, removable barres, SONOS sound system, professional dimmable LED lighting.

ANNEX Studio – 33′ by 27’, professional Harlequin Cascade seamless Marley, full wall of mirrors, barres, SONOS sound system, professional LED lighting

Lobby Space – 36′ by 26′ 

Paris Meeting Room – 27′ by 12.5′, large conference table with airplay capability on large screen, kitchenette

Rental Hours – Our general rental hours are 8am to 10pm. For rentals, outside of those hours, please inquire.

STUDIO ACCESS

We are proud to offer studio space at affordable rental rates for artists in the Seattle area. We plan to offer discounted rates and a select number of free studio hours and residencies. We are still in the process of determining our rates and discounts, and our goal is to support the wide variety of needs in our community.

As we develop this program, the studio rental program over the coming months, we will share our progress and decisions. We would like to hear your ideas and preferences, and would appreciate it if you can take the time to fill out our Studio Access Community Assessment form here.

Prior to the formal launch of these programs, please inquire about subsidized rates and free studio space by emailing rentals@whimwhim.org. We will try our best to provide support for using our space as we build our Studio Access Programs.

RENTAL POLICIES

LESS THAN 6 HOURS
  • Payment for rentals of less than 6 consecutive hours is due at the time of booking via MindBody.
  • CANCELLATION: Rentals of less than 6 hours will only be refunded if canceled 48 hours in advance.
  • If the rental is canceled within 48 hours, the renter will receive a rental credit and may use the hours at another time, subject to availability.
OVER 6 HOURS OR MULTI-DAY
  • Please inquire about the terms of a rental contract
  • A deposit may be required and cancellation terms will vary based on length and time of rentals.
