Yes! We’re back presenting all of our programs live. Our Fall 21 program in September will include the option to attend a live performance or to watch the new dance creations online at IN-WITH-WHIM starting on September 23, 2021.
Catch us outdoor in August during our FREE pop-up appearances that will engage our communities through innovative contemporary dance creations in ways that are safe and responsible.
IN-WITH-WHIM is the name of our new online streaming platform that includes access to all of our available online content, and if you become a member for Season Xii you get unlimited access! Your SEASON XII membership to Whim W’Him includes tickets to live performances PLUS access to our IN-WITH-WHIM digital offerings, including two new hybrid dance films, behind-the-scenes footage, and much, much more!
Originally launched as a way to safely create and share innovative new dance works with our community during the pandemic, IN-WITH-WHIM is evolving into our virtual platform, extending your subscription beyond the stage through unlimited access to a wide array of creative content that can be accessed anywhere, any time.
All live performances are subject to COVID-19 reopening guidelines and public health and safety mandates. Programs will be offered digitally through IN-With-WHIM if live performances are prohibited.
Once you have purchased a membership, you can use your login and password to enter through the IN-WITH-WHIM portal. All of our programming is clearly labeled with the headings New Creations, Past Creations, Dance & Tell, Dance Whims, and IN-Reach (classes and workshops taught by our dancers!).
New Creations will be added on September 23, 2021. These creations will be performed live September 9-18, 2021.
IN-Reach: Every month, Whim W’Him will offer three pre-recorded workshops taught by three different dancers. These workshops are open to everyone at all levels of interest and experience. Move with us!
Dance Whims: These fun, experimental dance shorts will be conceived and created by the dancers of Whim W’HIM. They will include collaborations with other artists working in all mediums in the Seattle area.
We created this all-digital content as a way to prioritize the health of our artists and the community while supporting ways for dance artists, students and audiences to come together while staying apart. To lower the risk of exposure for our dancers, we’ve also designed rehearsal guidelines that follow recommendations created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization. We are committed to following these standards.
Here is a link to a copy of our guidelines for rehearsals and filming. Please note that these guidelines get regularly updated based on the restrictions and recommendations of our local governement.
