Since 2009, Whim W’Him Seattle Contemporary Dance has presented performances of innovative contemporary dance from global artists. With a professional company of 7 dancers, Whim W’Him has established itself as a world-class, professional dance company.

Rooted in the mission, vision, and values of the company, the Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center is a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for individuals to learn and experience the transformative power of dance. The Center furthers our vision of enriching lives by investing in imagination illuminating the art that exists within each and everyone as we invite dancers of all ages and experience levels to join us in the studio. 

We are thrilled to welcome you into our space as you join our team of dedicated teachers composed of dancers from Whim W’Him’s company and respected Seattle teaching artists. We offer unique opportunities to engage with the one-of-a-kind work Whim W’Him presents as well as experiences with the renowned international choreographers who work with the company. Offering daily classes, workshops, camps, and intensives, we provide opportunities for dancers of any experience level and interest. 

Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center provides opportunities for artists to invest in their own creativity by providing rental space in our two state-of-the-art studios. Further, we offer subsidized and free studio space to provide even greater access to the Seattle community.

Through education and space for innovation, the Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center serves as a hub for creative expression in Seattle.
