From Whim W’Him’s inception, a commitment to nurturing creativity and growth has been at the forefront of our work. We have brought together artists from around the world to create magic and have built a cherished community here in Seattle. Until now though, our community has flown together from space to space, in different rehearsal spaces and theaters; always finding a landing spot to gather in collective imagination.
Now, we can land together in our new home, the Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center. We found our cocoon in November of 2022 with the discovery of the All Saints Church on Queen Anne. Through a loan, we were able to purchase the building in December 2022. As we patiently waited for our permits to clear, we dreamt up new plans for our home. Not only will it serve as the company’s rehearsal space, it will also provide a world-class space for dance artists and dance education in Seattle. Through classes, partnerships, and residencies, the WWCDC will transform the Seattle community’s dance landscape.
Our new home is now officially open! After construction, the space has emerged renewed and revitalized, equipped with all the fittings of a state-of-the-art dance studio. Through your gifts, we will be able to care for our new home and complete the metamorphosis together! Your funds will directly support the many facets that will realize this brilliant vision. 1 SQ/FT PROFESSIONAL DANCE FLOORING
Harlequin is no circus!
The Center needs floors that support good joint health, longer movement careers, and safety for current and aspiring artists. Harlequin WoodSpring is a state of the art product that is customized to our specifications and will make up 2,000 sq/ft of the Center. Spring the Center into good footing with just $35!

SUPPLIES FOR YOUTH CLASSES
We’ll need scarves, dots, mats, and all the creative tools!
Youth classes are coming to the Center and we need 10 mats, 40 dots, 40 scarves, and storage systems to keep them all organized. A $15 investment keeps our young people entertained and our Center clean for all to enjoy.

There are many lightbulbs in our new Contemporary Dance Center, but we are also installing state-of-the-art LED lighting in our studios. Supporting us at the lowest amount might also be your brightest decision.
