Tony, originally born in Saint Louis Missouri was adopted at age 4 and raised in Boise Idaho. He started his dance training in Ballet Idaho’s Boy’s Dance Advance Program in 2009. After he was selected to join on full tuition scholarship as part of the ballet’s LTD (learning through dance) outreach program. In the years that followed Tony attended training programs at Nutmeg Conservatory Of The Arts, Burklyn Ballet Theater,Oregon Ballet Theater and Northwest Dance Project. His journey as a professional dancer started in 2018, working as a soloist with Idaho Dance Theater and also performing with a local contemporary company called Project Flux. In 2019 Tony was offered an apprenticeship with Ballet Idaho under the direction of Artistic director Garrett Anderson. During his time as an apprentice Tony performed work by Penny Saunders, Quinn Wharton and Australian choreographer Craig Davidson, who set a solo on Tony as part of Ballet Idaho’s Ghost Light production. Tony continued his work with Ballet Idaho for their 20.21 season working closely with Robin Mineko Williams and Dani Rowe. Tony also choreographed a work entitled “REaDy Set” for Ballet Idaho’s 2021 NewDance Production.
In 2020 Tony began performing with LED Boise creating an outdoor socially distinct performance experience in collaboration with KIN Boise. He continues his work with LED boise collaborating with diverse artists from all over the county. Tony can also be seen in LED’s latest films “RUIN” and “Silver City” to be released in the fall of 2021. In July of 2021 Tony spent time at Alonzo King LINES Ballet,working alongside the company creating new repertoire to be premiered by the company this season.
