Chalnessa Eames

Charismatic. Charming. Bright.

Chalnessa began her early dance training in Bellingham, Washington and Eugene, Oregon, before attending the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton Florida. She finished her training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and joined the company in 1997. In 2001, she joined Pacific Northwest Ballet where she danced as a soloist until June 2011. Chalnessa has an astonishing range, having danced leading roles in works by George Balanchine, Val Caniporoli, Ulysses Dove, Nacho Duato, Dominique Dumais, Nicolo Fonte, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian’s, José Limón, Jerome Robbins, and Kent Stowell, as well as the major classics. In April 2011, she premiered Twyla Tharp’s commissioned duet for the Titas Command Performance in Dallas, TX. Chalnessa is currently dancing with Whim W’Him and as a part of the creative team of Jacoby & Pronk.
